3. Age Requirement
Faseeh AI is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 13 years of age, you may not use this app or provide any personal information to us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a user under the age of 13 without verified parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that data.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, please contact us immediately at support@faseeh.io.
For users in the EU/UK and similar jurisdictions, the minimum age for using our service without parental consent is 16, unless local law permits a lower age.
4. Information We Collect
We collect and process the following categories of personal data:
Account and contact information
Name, email address, and country, plus any information you provide when joining the waitlist, signing up, or contacting support.
Authentication data
Information required to create and access your account, including login credentials and identifiers received from Sign in with Apple, Google, or other approved sign-on providers.
Audio recordings and recitation data
Voice recordings of your Qur’an recitation captured when you use the app’s microphone feature. We also collect associated data generated by our AI system, including text segments, error labels, accuracy scores, and correction feedback.
Usage and analytics data
Information about how you use the app, such as surahs practised, session frequency, features used, and timestamps. Device information such as operating system version, app version, and device model.
Payment and billing information
When you purchase a subscription through the app, payments are processed entirely via Apple’s in-app purchase system (StoreKit). We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. Apple handles all billing on your behalf.
Marketing and communications data
Your preferences for receiving marketing communications from us, and information about your interactions with our emails and social media channels. This data is only collected with your explicit consent.
5. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data only for the following specific purposes:
To provide and maintain the service
Creating and managing your account, authenticating logins, delivering real-time recitation feedback, and maintaining app features.
To train and improve our AI models
We may use anonymised or pseudonymised audio recordings and recitation data to improve the accuracy of our pronunciation detection models, tajwīd error recognition, and feedback quality. Before your audio data is used for model training purposes, we will request your explicit consent through an in-app prompt.
You can opt out of AI training use of your audio data at any time via Settings > Privacy > AI Training Preferences within the app. Opting out does not affect the real-time feedback features.
To personalise your experience
Tailoring exercises and recommendations based on your practice history, accuracy levels, and learning goals.
To process payments and manage subscriptions
Handling subscription status, entitlements, and related communications via Apple’s in-app purchase system.
To provide support and communicate with you
Responding to your enquiries, troubleshooting issues, and sending important service updates and security alerts.
For analytics and product development
Understanding how the app is used, diagnosing technical issues, and improving performance. Where analytics tools involve cross-app tracking, we will request your permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before enabling such tracking.
For external marketing campaigns
We may run advertising campaigns on external platforms using aggregated, non-identifiable performance data. We do not share your recitation audio or any personal audio data with advertisers at any time, for any purpose. We do not display third-party advertisements within the Faseeh app.
For legal, security, and compliance purposes
Preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing our Terms of Service, and complying with applicable legal obligations.
6. Microphone Access and Audio Recording
Faseeh AI requires access to your device’s microphone to provide recitation feedback. We will request your permission to use the microphone the first time you use a feature that requires recording. You may revoke microphone access at any time through your device Settings.
The app will display a visible recording indicator whenever the microphone is active. We do not record audio outside of active recitation sessions. Microphone access is never used in the background.
If you deny microphone access, the real-time recitation feedback feature will not be available. Other features of the app, including browsing content and reviewing previous sessions, remain accessible.
7. App Tracking Transparency
We respect your right to control how your activity is tracked across apps and websites. For certain analytics features that involve tracking your activity across other companies’ apps or websites — such as measuring the performance of our external advertising campaigns — we will request your permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before enabling such tracking.
You can change your tracking preference at any time via: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device.
If you do not grant tracking permission, we will not track your activity across other apps. This does not affect the core recitation feedback features of the app.
8. Legal Bases for Processing (EU/UK Users)
For users in the EU/EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions, we process personal data under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: Providing the services you sign up for, including account creation, subscription management, and recitation feedback.
- Legitimate interests: Improving services, preventing fraud, and sending non-marketing service updates — provided these interests do not override your rights.
- Consent: For marketing communications, non-essential cookies, AI model training use of your audio data, and App Tracking Transparency. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligations: Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests.
9. How We Share Personal Data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share personal data only with:
Service providers and processors
Including hosting providers, customer support tools, email service providers, and infrastructure platforms such as Firebase and Google Cloud, who process data on our behalf under written data processing agreements. All such providers are bound to provide the same level of data protection as required by this Policy and applicable law.
Third-party AI services
Where our AI pronunciation detection relies on third-party AI infrastructure, we will obtain your explicit consent before transmitting your audio data to any such third-party AI system. We will name any such third-party AI providers in an updated version of this Policy before enabling that data flow.
Analytics and advertising partners
Platforms such as Google Analytics and Firebase for in-app analytics. External advertising performance measurement (where permitted by your ATT choice) via platforms such as Google Ads and Meta. We do not share recitation audio or personal audio data with any advertising partner under any circumstances.
Professional advisors
Lawyers, accountants, auditors, and consultants where necessary to protect our legal interests and comply with our obligations.
Authorities and law enforcement
When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
Where data is transferred outside of the EU/UK, we apply appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days following account closure, after which it is permanently deleted or anonymised.
- Audio recordings: Retained for 30 days from the date of each recitation session. If you have consented to AI model training use, recordings may be retained in anonymised form for up to 12 months, then permanently deleted.

- Analytics and log data: Retained for up to 12 months for security, performance analysis, and product improvement.
We may retain aggregated, fully anonymised data that cannot identify you for longer periods for research and product improvement purposes.

- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data (see account deletion below)
- Restrict or object to specific processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Request portability of your data to another service
- Opt out of AI training use of your audio data via Settings > Privacy > AI Training Preferences

You can delete your account directly from within the app at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account. When you delete your account, we will permanently delete or anonymise your personal data, including all recitation recordings, within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.
You may also request account deletion by contacting support@faseeh.io.
To exercise any of your rights, contact us at support@faseeh.io. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. Some rights may be limited where we have overriding legal obligations.
12. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website and app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their individual privacy policies.
13. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls limiting who within our team can access your data, and regular security reviews. Audio recordings are stored in encrypted cloud storage.
